Prototype studio is an interdisciplinary architectural and creative studio with a strong focus on using architecture and interior design to create beautiful brands. We also offer additional brand design, creative direction, marketing and creative production services when required, to create a cohesive, impactful message across all of your brands creative.

What we do

Unlike other architectural firms we have the unique experience of not just designing but also owning and operating many hospitality businesses ourselves, which is why hospitality is our speciality. We don't just design for form but also for function, we intimately understand both the customer facing design and the back of house and workflow requirements to ensure your hospitality venture is successful on every level.

We uniquely approach commercial clients by analysing the overall creative direction and brand positioning to ensure that your interiors aren't just beautiful but are also cohesive and communicate your brand correctly to your target customer.

We additionally offer other creative services to ensure that that every element of your brands creative is cohesive - including creative production (video and photo production, social media management, content creation), marketing strategy and consultancy (providing marketing strategy as well as thorough analysis of your brand positioning, marketing aims, strengths and weaknesses, competitors, social media etc), graphic design, menu consultancy, and so on.

Whilst we specialise in commercial projects, we do also take domestic clients so please get in touch.

Our design ethos

We believe in all parts of the design relating to the whole, making form and function wholly intertwined. With an authentic multi-decade, multi-reference approach to our design practice, we see our work as bringing forward the mid-century architectural concept of 'total design', in which every element of a scheme is given consideration where possible, from overall architectural form to construction to landscaping, down to the smallest detail.

The practice provides services for every stage of the design and build process - architecture, interior design, project management, approvals, construction, fabrication of bespoke furniture and artworks, and sourcing of vintage and contemporary pieces.

Services

Architecture

With over 40 years experience at de la Vega Architects, Lynette de la Vega has experience with large scale renovations, build-from-scratch homes, high-rise buildings, super-yachts and large residential developments. In partnership with our sister company de la Vega Design & Construction Ltd, we can also offer full construction and building services.

Interior Design

Our interior design services are available for renovations of residential, commercial and hospitality projects. This includes everything from concept development, sketch design and visualisations, working documentation, sourcing materials, furniture etc. We also offer bespoke furniture, built-in sculptural pieces, fittings and fixtures.

Creative Direction

For commercial clients in hospitality and retail we are able to provide overall creative direction additional to our interior design service, to ensure that your new space aligns with a refresh of your brand over all, this may include graphic design and packaging, brand strategy and positioning, marketing strategy, art direction (including photo and video), food design, and visual merchandising.

Creative production

We are open to working on specific creative projects such as set design, menu design, event food design and styling, design for photo and video projects.

Furniture
sourcing

We also source furniture, both contemporary and vintage for clients who want to change over and refresh their furniture, both commercial and residential. This service involves discussing the clients brief to ensure we understand exactly what you're looking for, and then providing concepts and visualisations from which we can then source your furniture.
